South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Also Known as SAARC. SAARC Headquarter is located in Kathmandu Nepal. Current Secretory General of SAARC is Mr. Ahmed Saleem from Maldives. Previously Indian SAARC Secretory General was Mr. Sheel Sharma From march 2008 to February 2011. There are eight members or countries in SAARC which is India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Note : Afghanistan was added in 2007, before it was only membership of seven countries.

SAARC Principles
-> Respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, political equality and independence of all members states
-> Non-interference in the internal matters is one of its objectives
-> Cooperation for mutual benefit
-> All decisions to be taken unanimously on the basis of consensus and need a quorum of all eight members
-> All bilateral issues to be kept aside and only multilateral issues to be discussed without being prejudiced by bilateral issues
SAARC was Established On 8 December 1985
Firstly in1983, the International conference held by EX Indian Minister of External Affairs PVN Rao in New Delhi, the foreign ministers of the inner seven countries adopted the Declaration on South Asian Association Regional Cooperation (SAARC). There were Five Main Corporation between membership countries which were Agriculture Rural Development, Telecommunications, Meteorology, and Health and Population Activities.

-> to strengthen co-operation with other developing countries
-> to contribute to mutual trust, understanding and appreciation of one another's problems
-> to co-operate with international and regional organisations with similar aims and purposes
-> to promote the welfare of the people of South Asia and to improve their quality of life
-> to accelerate economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region and to provide all individuals the opportunity to live in dignity and to realise their full potential
-> to contribute to mutual trust, understanding and appreciation of one another's problems
How SAARC impact on india
as we all know, Narendra Modi will take oath and will become 14th Prime Minister of 16th Loksabha Terms. Narendra Modi also invited All SAARC's Countries PMs to honor the Oath. in international relationship of any country, this kind of joint venture or organization take morale job for peace and development.
